This boat is new to me and if anyone recognises her and has further info please let me know. Also please wave if you see us in and around the west country.

We intend to cruise the canals and rivers of the west country (starting with Kennet and Avon canal), she lives in Bristol City Docks, as far as jobs that need doing, she seems fairly up together but needs a good clean, what little exterior woodwork there is is shot, I am trying to recover it but may well have to replace.
She has an old 4 stroke Yamaha F9.9 (~10hp) on the back which, flat out, seems to give about 7 mph with me the wife and 2 small kids on board, not that I'm planning to go fast, but does that seem in the right ball park or does the engine need attention? I have been told to expect to use 2 gallons per hour and I am using way less than that, less than a gallon an hour I estimate, so I'm not sure whether that indicates a problem or not.
